Re: Co2 - food grade

I believe fire extinguishers have a dip tube which can cause problems with the regulator as liquid CO2 comes out. I still wouldn't use a non-food grade CO2 though - not everything kills you straight away!

Re: marks 2 keg washer

Thanks Guys, I hadn’t seen one of these before and hate cleaning kegs and tubing so I’ve just ordered one from Niels. [emoji482][emoji3] You won't be disappointed! You'll need to put a British plug on it and it doesn't come with any tubing or disconnects so for the disconnect set up I ordered the f...

The pic was just a screen grab from the video mate :D

I cannot describe how easy this made preparing kegs. I'm so grateful of this thread!

Re: marks 2 keg washer

It comes with a spoon inside and I use a spoonfull in about 5 litres of warm water. It's a cleaner though so you don't need to be precise, if you think you need more then add it. It's just sanitisers you need to be more precise with.

Re: VWP instead of oxyclean

I also don't like the fact that I have to clean most stuff in the bath tub and am worried about the little ones skin as well. I think your prudence should be commended but I really wouldn't worry when it comes to the children. Oxyclean is a stain remover for clothes and although I am not an expert ...

Re: marks 2 keg washer

I use Wilko Oxi Plus Stain Remover at £2 a kilo. It works for me so I can't justify the cost of PBW.

Re: marks 2 keg washer

I bought one from homebrewshop.be and got it working at the weekend. This is without doubt the best homebrew investment I have made. I completely broke down, cleaned and then santised two kegs in record time. My back didn't ache and I didn't need to wear gloves (Oxyclean irritates the skin on my han...

Re: Bottle carbonation, Woodforde Wherry Kit

I did wonder if I might have left the brew in the FV for too long (2 week’s) and the yeast had ‘run out of steam so to speak’ so there might not have been enough live yeast left to do the carbonation? I very much doubt it. Real Ale (TM) as defined by CAMRA must have a minimum of 1 million east cell...

It is, but if I was going pro I'd get an accountant. Better to be safe than to be sorry!
