Triclamp to Corny
Whats the best Tri clamp to corny connection type ? I bought a TC to 1/2" female fitting and a 3/8 Barb but have found its too big to get the beer line over it :/ Can't find a smaller barb on a 1/2" thread.
Any Idea's ?

Re: Dry hopping and phenols
I've had that taste a few times recently and there is a thread about someone else who has too, for me its always been present before I dry hop. I put it down to too much hop matter from kettle getting in FV, my latest batch I used a hop spider and dry hopped with 200 grams. Not metallic taste.

Re: Dry hopping and yeast collection from conical
Awesome cheers, I dropped 600ml of slurry today (48 hours) and it was dark slurry break. Even if I dont end up harvesting yeast its great to be able to drop the rubbish out my beer.

Re: Corny keg newbie question.
really need to keep the gas on while its carbing, just set it at 10psi and forget for a week. I tend to ramp it up to 30psi for 24 hours then turn it down to 10psi and leave it.
If your using an inkbird to control the fridge you can remove the thermastat, this will get you a lot colder

Dry hopping and yeast collection from conical
Can anyone who has a conical that harvests yeast and dry hops let me how they do it ? I'm thinking of dropping temp to 12 degrees to condition for a few days after a diacetyl rest of 22 then dry hop it, will the yeast settle enough at 12 degrees to get a viable amount for a re-pitch before I dry hop...

Re: Harsh bitter Taste at end of flavour profile
Ive got this with a beer at the moment and have had it previously, everything is fine until after the boil. I'm convinced its hop related, the last beer I had issues with was ok after a few weeks. The current one came out the fermenter a week ago, up front it tastes great then I get a harsh bitter ...

Re: Harsh bitter Taste at end of flavour profile
Hi Dave, Just working my way through the posts. I tasted the wort after sparging and it was sweet no sign of harshness. Tasted after boil when cooled prior to ferment and the taste was there with hops as they were added. So a bit tricky to identify amongst the hop bitterness but the feeling is it's...

for the time it takes, every time I'd rather spend 10 mins making sure its all clean than waste 4 hours and ingredients due to an infection.

Re: CO2 splitter
Also peeps that have those with the JG Fittings find that they don't like much or little sideway pressure. They find out they had a leak when the gas runs out unexpectedly. I think I might stick to using the barbs and jubilee clips if I need to. jubilee clips do not work, they pinch and caus...

Dont a lot of the commercial guys use hop extract now ? I've read that you can tell the difference between a magnum and chinook bittered beer so I do think it matters yes.
