Re: Fresh wort - request

I'd say what MTW says, find your local hombrew club, then you will get a wide view of what could be where your going wrong. You never know you may get friendly with a few and join in in a brew, see how others do it and you can ask all silly questio, like why you do that and why you do this, and then...

Re: Does rape honey make good mead?

As with most honeys, it's never really just one type, it's what ever the bees wish to collect, You can put your bees right next to a field of rape and yeah they will collect some and unless there is nothing else around for miles they will collect somthing else. And don't forget timing of the floweri...

Re: Swing tops

Err we all know... Green is bad and equals skunky beer.... Right ? Well that's if you leave them in the light...just like clear is, but I hear you say clear beer bottles in the supermarkets, well they use some stuff (hop iseormized extract stuff) not the real leafy or pellets type that we mostly use..

Re: STC 3000 - Suitable for RIMS?

A SSR is an ssr, it's really down to the rated power and if its a copy not up to the rated power.

And don't forget the heatsinks paste to make a good contact to your heatsink.

Btw I replied to your Rex thread

Re: REX C100 - Pt100 Termocouple

I have a Rex that I brought still in its box, I never got to use it as it was to long to fit in my control panel, I assumed it was the same lenght as the Sestos So apart from powering up, I could only read the instructions, and that would be online as it either never came with any or I lost them I g...

Re: HELP! ive got 31 cucumbers to take wine with tomorrow!

You can make wine out of almost anything, I remember a neighbour made oak leaf wine once. That tasted like crap too. ahh maybe he used too big a leaf, they have to be a certain size or smaller, and then it still maybe a wine not to your liking. ive never done it but ive read about it and that's iirc.

Re: Why honey is expensive

No you are not missing anything. Sucrose is a disacharride of glucose and fructose. That means that honey does not naturally contain much fructose, which is not that surprising. There is a belief among bee keepers that the water content of heather honey is higher, due to the refractive index being ...
