Re: Boiler power control
Currently, my thoughts are to unsolder the thyristor and re-attach it with flying leads so it can go on an external heatsink. Then the case won't be specific to this device. why not remove the pot instead and use flying leads on that, they wont be carrying the full load current .Also be careful what...

Re: 3kw Immersion Element and PID Controller Set Up
What relay would I need for just the 2 x 3kw elements and the stc unit? for 6Kw you realy need a contactor(big relay),but the incoming supply would need to be around 30A.The best way would be to use 2 seprate relays,1 for each element, and keep each of the incoming supplys seprate, each of the relays...

Re: 3kw Immersion Element and PID Controller Set Up
How would that set up work? Would i be able to wire a 4 gang extension incorparating a relay to the unit in order to plug in up to 4 x 3kw elements. Would the unit then have to be plugged into a 16a plug? nope,for4 3kw elements you need around 50A,so a 63A ceeform is what youll need, but you dont fi...

Re: My new isolated 10kw capacity supply
If you use ceeforms (the blue socket shown above) dont wire them into existing 30A ring, it aint good practise, instead wire each one back to its own 16A/20A fuse
