Re: Galaxy Recipes

I have to say I don't really fancy the Denis King recipe but thanks for the suggestion. I think I would rather use the hops later in the boil than Denis suggests and hopefully avoid having to wait for the beer to mellow. I was thinking more like having a small amount of Cascade at the beginning of t...

Galaxy Recipes

I've got a couple of packs of Galaxy hops that I haven't got round to doing anything with. Anyone got any favorite recipes they would like to share that use this hop please? I could do a SMASH but would probably prefer to pair it with some other American hops. I've got Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, ...

Re: BM owners (and GF / aio owners) would you go back?

It's certainly doable to use a Braumeister for commercial brewing, I just rather suspect you would get better value for money by not using a Braumeister for commercial brewing.

Re: BM owners (and GF / aio owners) would you go back?

I wouldn't go back. I'm only do all grain because I got a Braumeister. Before that I did extract outside with a gas burner and pot. The process was managable as I could send the dirty boiling pot through the dishwasher and I didn't want to get in to multiple large dirty vessels to clean out and stor...

Re: Elvis Juice!

Thanks, I'm using a Braumeister as well so your recipe is helpful. What I've put in to my Beersmith software looks pretty similar to your recipe. Handy info about the mash schedule though.

Re: Elvis Juice!

Thanks for the detailed help but would you be thinking 4 grapefruit for 20L or more?

Re: INTRODUCING: Seymour Citra Dark

It's a lovely beer. I brewed a batch that I drank this summer. It's pretty bonkers, it's not subtle but it is tasty!

Elvis Juice!

Due to a loft conversion and the subsequent clearing up and decorating I've been starved of homebrew since June and consequently been actually buying beer from the supermarket... I've been getting very in to the Brewdog Elvis Juice and have found the recipe in their DIY Dog pdf. Has anyone got some ...

Re: Man go camping, man need beer!

I would use a 9l corny and jump the beer from a full size keg to draw it off the sediment and in to the clean 9l litre corny. This should give you beer that settles bright straight away after you move it, especially if the beer has been in the original keg for a while giving the sediment chance to p...

I made one with a Sauvingnon Blanc wine kit force carbed in a Cornelius Keg which has turned out quite well.

Re: Who knows about aircon units?

Do aircon units not tend to harbour bacteria etc? I like your style but wonder if it might be easier just to have some large fridges that you can install stc1000 controllers and heaters in to? This will give you smaller highly controllable temperature zones for all aspects of brewing. Sent from my i...

Re: Acquired 3 second hand King Keg barrels

I'm sorry but I haven't read the thread. I would highly recommend bottom tap king kegs. Much less faff with floats, much less wasted gas, if you run out of gas on the day you can just vent the keg by opening the top and carry on dispensing without gas. I did have a couple of top tap kegs but got rid...
