Re: EBC Value of Sarsons browning
Yeah, from the links I posted, I got what's in the commercial colouring (umm whiskey colourant) but there are 4 variants/types ! .? , so emailing the company should get you some info as to which type/variation and then you should be able to calculate the ebc from the equations on one of the links (l...

Umm, I never use gravy browning, and did not know you can use in beer. I did a Google and came up with....only. The composition, and add 1tsp to 1tbsp per 3 gallon.

Re: Bypassing fridge thermostat
I,d say yes, But if you have a look around on here and the interwebby there are a few different ways to do it, depending on what sort of outcome you want and what fridge or freezer you got I was reading about just bypassing the fridge thermostat altogether, and going straight to the compresser. Secondly weights and measures act, there is an allowable deviation, but what it is I don't know. The only thing I do know is they can give yo...

Re: Grain mill - wow!
The beer should also taste better, IE more flavour & malt character
I too crush my grain, but recently got some crushed malt by mistake, and then notice my SG being lower. So I ended up recrushing the crushed malt in the next brew. The sparge was slower but my SG was where it normally is.
