Re: Coopers european lager

if you can wait , then connect and leave. If you can't then force carb. Yes you keep the gas on during force carbing.

Re: Coopers european lager

how did you pressurize it? Just a blast to a certain psi? Most likely the beer has absorbed that small amount of co2 and that's it. You either need to keep the bottle connected to the keg for a week or so at the desired psi or 'force carbonate' it , basically upping the psi on the keg and agitate it...

Re: Adding Water After Fermentation!

you could also brew a similar profile beer but with a lot lower gravity and blend them both. I have done this a few times when using my new kit and getting way better efficiency than expected

Re: Wlp830 quick fermentation

I have no experience of that yeast , but have had a couple of lagers go low early, I'd still give them another week or 2 to be sure. What does it taste like?

Re: Excess wort after sparging

personally i'd just put it down the sink, there won't be much fermentables in it and you 'should' stop sparging at around 1.010 anyway. What yeast do you use and what is your usual fg after fermentation?

Re: Great brew day - But!

Your malt may be crushed too fine , or there is too much malt in the tube, i think speidel recommend no more than 4.5kg. I wouldn't worry about any oil contaminate personally

Re: Orange

I'm pretty sure that orange juice is'nt a popular home brew source because the resulting 'beer' will be too acidic
