Thank you so much for the advice guys, I'm still a little torn whether to give it a go or not... If I do what size to go for as there's a huge leap between 6 bottles & 30. I have 2 fermenters for beer and a spare which I could use for wine I guess if I make the jump to 30, so not all bad I guess. W...

Cheers Dads, will look into that idea, never had a boil up with the buffalo but it did start with the grainfather, I will put the lid on later next time. the boil was fine with the lid on though and i started with 28L

I tried tried that but didn't work well enough. I have got a bend in the pipe as a drip trap. Not noticed any effects on 10 brews with the extract pipe.
