I ordered a couple from Brewery Plastics, dead happy with them. They are cheaper and lighter than stainless but don't look as good imo however mine sit under a chilling jacked so it doesn't really matter.Bunglebrewsbeer wrote:Just out of interest. Where you get your cask from?

Re: Cask Conditioning - Can I just treat it like a big bottl
Yes you can just prime it in the cask like a bottle but it can't take as much pressure, breweries need to get it out the fermenter as fast as possible so they rack it 1-2 points above final gravity. That is simply not true, they can take a surprising amount of pressure before they pop a shive or ke...

Need a keg full for the 27th!
Festival razorback IPA would be my suggestion. I blind tasted this some time back and it was an excellent pint.
Whether a kit beer will be ready in just over 2 weeks is another matter. I would think it is pushing it even with AG.

Beer line cleaner
The purple line cleaner comes out green when the lines are mucky and purple when they are clean. Purple blc is an easy indicator, there are various brands of it.

Once the screws are far enough in the reg to start allowing co2 through the gauge should be fairly instant. Clockwise increases pressure. Silly question but your gas cylinder is on and full? Try turning the screws a bit more if you haven't already.

It looks to me like it's at the top.Wonkydonkey wrote:as its on the base a bit of tig welding will sort it.
Personally I would contact the seller for a replacement while I could. There is a crack on a weld which could breach the integrity of the keg.

I presume that nobody just lets the beer sit in the engine for a day or more? Thanks! Errrr........ This is one reason why I have not used my beer engines recently. I'm not drinking as much at home and the beer goes stale in the cylinder therefore I end up wasting some. With the way I have m...

They may well still be owned by the brewery (or its successor). You may want to check it out, remember kegwatch monitor these sites.

Can you not just divide the volume of beer (minus a litre or two for trub) by two then fill each keg with said amount?
