Ahh I see. Yes with the actual BM pumps with removeable heads they dont seem as necessary. Incidentally have you observed much difference volumes of water being moved around by two pumps vs one? Noise difference? I've not seen/heard those pumps or a genuine BM in action so difficult to compare. Link...

My last dither is still over the pump(s) as I can't see the benefit of two over one more powerful one and/or how much better the Speidel style removable head ones are over say a chugger.

My concern was not having enough space on the floor of the pot for the element and Lauterhexe meaning one would need to be above the other - not ideal. Intrigued to see how ...
