Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions
Hello Shoreman. The cubitainer is connected directly to the chiller via some silicon tubing that just pushes onto the tap. No coupling required and no check valve anywhere either. From the chiller it goes directly to the beer pump. I flush through with water after every event, but clean properly if ...

Re: Everything beer engine, polypins, cask and questions
I've been using beer engines and polypins (or cubitainers as they're called here) for years and they work perfectly well for 'cask' ale. If they are primed as you would do for bottled beer then they are just like a real ale would be served in a British pub. I hook up the cubitainer with silicon tubi...

Re: Calling Beer Engine experts
Reviving this subject: I have a couple of EWL pumps and just don't seem to be able to undo the big nut at the bottom of the cylinder. Just to make sure we're talking about the same part, it's the eight-sided nut shaped plastic moulding that looks just like a part of the cylinder, in fact it all look...

Re: Filtering beer
I've never had a cloudy beer. I use Irish Moss 15 mins before flame out. No chill before fermenting, just get it down to around 20 degrees and then after initial fermentation, transfer to another fermentor for the last few days, leaving most of the trub behind.

Use a piece of tube attached to the wand. The best of both worlds

Chiller pump problem
Hello all. I have a 'Codifesa' brand chiller that works very well except the recirc pump gas started playing up. The motor spins, but is not pushing any water out of the pipes anymore. I can get to the motor and take the middle part out some of the way, but I can't pull the whole thing through as I'...
