Re: Curries
I’ve got ‘The Curry Bible’ by Pat someone. Produces good curries.
Though,as an interloper,Slimming World’s chicken curry which basically is boiling onions in chicken stock, adding curry powder and fat free yoghurt at the end,is actually pretty tasty.

Re: BM owners (and GF / aio owners) would you go back?
I started off with the cool box mash tun, a 32 litre gas boiler, which doubled as a HLT (Wort was collected into FV and poured back into the boiler), immersion chiller. I got a GF 18 months ago and wouldn’t go back. The mash temperature consistency was the key factor, however the footprint of it is ...

Re: where next
I rinse mine out after use and store uncapped. When it's bottling day,a quick no soap cycle through the dishwasher and Star San after. Personal opinion is that trying to keep them clean and sanitised for maybe a few months before use is a waste of time and effort, for the sake of maybe an hour on bot...

Bathtub gin
Hi. I'm going to have a go at bathtub gin. Which is flavouring vodka with ginning spices. I've already got the juniper berries. Thinking of cinnamon stick, star anise and black pepper. Orange peel after a day or two.
Has anybody tried this?

Re: Yeast taste from wlp002
I've been following this as l have been getting off flavours in a few brews. Checking my records,it's always with this yeast. Kind of hot plasticy smell and taste, that is worse 'on the burp' and the beer is like mud. From what l've read, it is a hot fermenter, the wort can rise by 5 degrees on it's o...

Re: Filtering Wine
I use the Vinbrite every year, when bottling. I just let it drop into the bottles and cork. Never had any problems. You will need to change the filter pad at least twice though,as it will clog up fairly quickly.
