Re: Show Us Yer Kit

I like the Brew bucket lid, looks expensive though.
Everyone's kit looks great but you have got to say the Grainfather is a smart compact bit of kit

Re: Any deals for a GF and a couple of questions...

Everyone says the chiller is really fast, this would probably cost £100 so brings the difference down to around £100 - £150 for something that has excellent reviews on quality, service and all those little extra features on that control. I'm in same boat, except I have already spent small fortune on...

Re: Any deals for a GF and a couple of questions...

I have been considering a grainfather, the best deal I have seen is £750 from Geterbrewed, you get a sparge water heater with this and that is with the latest control oh and you can get an all grain kit with it. The new control has some real nice features, which I think will let you get on with your...

Re: motorised fly sparge

I like it, be good to develop it so that you could lower the arm into the mash and use it to mix the mash

Re: ACE one-pot brewing system

Certainly with both the ace and the Grainfather there elements are not designed to be changed. This may be where I suspect you would probably get a better customer service from Grainfather. Only time would tell. Times have changed, very little these days is built to last and with the way the legal s...

Re: Bergland 50l false bottom diameter?

On the subject of Bottom drain Off centre close to one edge seems logical as others have said a slight tip and the vessel will be nearly completely empty

Re: Bergland 50l false bottom diameter?

Not really got anywhere, I'm actually seriously considering a grainfather or Ace system so I can get on a brew some bigger batches 395mm I thinking, if I put split beer line around outer should close up any gaps Here's a JPG of the design, the holes will take M6 Button Head Screws with Dome Nuts on ...

Probably makes things a little easier although you can heat your sparge water up before hand or use your stove

Re: Upgrade - advice needed please

My 3 vessel parts are piling up, no progress on the build but I like nice things and I do like those connectors, hate to think what the system has cost and what it will cost when complete

I'm glad the pubs charge so much, makes it so much easier to justify lol
