You want to try and reverse that buckle, assemble it with the plate in situ and roll on a flat counter to see how bad it is. To get it back you could consider using a tourniquet or mounting it cowboy style and use your own weight to bring it back. Please post pics for us all as your wife catches you...

2.7kw or 3kw element should be enough to get a rolling boil if your boiler was insulated

I bought the cO2 supermarket one about a year ago, the fleabay one looks the same though. I’ve had stuff off eBay before from China and it’s all been US fitting sizes so just be careful on that front.

Like everything in life if you fast track or force it it’s never as good.
Some of the fresh hop punch has fallen off but still a great beer. I’d say sweet spot was about 2-3 weeks in the keg so 4-5 weeks after I pitched.

I slide it in pretty easy with a squirt of starsan or water it squeaks down to the bottom and is a 10 second process, don’t attempt dry it will break your heart. Sorry folks out of the loop there for a while, I have a hoselock 4 way splitter and enough pressure to cool on three for a 20-25 min fill of the fv’s. Vermont is a liquid yeast and sure dry yeasts have really come along in recent years but liquid for me still has the edge. I’ve 2 Pilsners in FV atm ...
