Aaaaaaaah! Look what I found in the back of the Filing Cabinet................... :D Opened with a good hiss, little bit of a gusher, no problem, very solid sediment. Fantastic Strawberry smell on opening the bottle, kitchen was filled with the Lovely aroma of Strawberries for 1/2 an hour! :D Taste...

Whenever I have used gelatin as a fining I perceive that it strips away some of the flavour. Have you ever noticed this occurrence?Laripu wrote:

If your intention is to bottle the lot then you should just transfer from the fermenter to a bottling bucket and bottle from there. I don't think that you will want to be bottling from a pressure barrel that has been sat for two weeks.

Cocoa does indeed contain fat which can be detrimental to head retention.injac wrote:Checked on this today - plenty of bubbling but no krausen. It seems after reading online cocoa powder can be the reason for this - wonder if it will kill the head in the finished beer....?
