Hi again after 9 years

Post by Daveylaa » Mon Sep 02, 2019 12:01 am

Hi all I was a member for about 2 years 2010 - 12 I think. Got diabetes stopped brewing, all sorted now so back on “the grain” well home made cider from inherited small orchard to be precise.
Going to try a AG few clones too! Mostly fancy larger! Camden etc. You guys got me from a young's larger tin via an excellent woodfords wherry to AG in 3 brews. So hope to get straight back into AG. Going for fancy pilsner Camden and Leffee Blonde clones, etc. Whilst me 3 week old farmhouse ciders (4 demijohns) mature for 4 months. Bought an old baby burco and budget barrel and bucket so all kitted out lol. Cheers and any help with pilsner type larger recipes / methods appreciated.

Welcome.

ALOT has changed in 10 years, the equipment you can now buy is astonishing.

Yes, welcome back! :)

As LeeH says, home brewing is a different world now.

Welcome back Daveylaa!

I stopped brewing for a decade and started again last year and was amazed how much had changed!

Thanks Jim, Lee H and Bitter Dave.

Yes looked at kits on here wow. Going to make a mash tun from cooler and buy a hop back for baby burco and grain bag and grain back, so to speak for cooler and build up kit slowley. Cheers!

Welcome back , as for pilsener you really can't go wrong with the Greg Hughes czech pilsener from his book home brew beer.
