Hi from Devon

Post by richiek27 » Tue May 25, 2021 9:15 am

Hi, Richie here from Devon.
I'm a novice home brewer and returned to brewing two years ago after a gap of over 30 years.
I prefer hoppy IPA's and pale ales and currently brew from kits which I tweak by adding extra hops etc.
Looking forward to the chat/banter and sharing advice along the path to creating great beers.

Hi Rich,
A big welcome to you down in Devon. I do hope you are having better weather than the rest of us :-)

How are do you make yours? kits, extract or the whole way from grain ?

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Mash I'm currently using kits and tweaking them with different dry hops which is fun. I don't plan to go to grain just yet due to time constraints and the wife moaning that the kitchen smells like a brewery anyway

Yes hopefully John. I'm up your way now and again on the way to Bideford when we visit the wife's cousin.

I'm from Kent but used to travel bonkers miles for work. Have some good memories of drinking in the Dolphin...
