How Long Will Crushed Malt Store ?

I was thinking about reducing the cost of grain and buying some by the sack.

I thought about MO as a starter which would save about 1/3 of the price, compared to buying small volumes.

How long would crushed MO store at its prime if stored in a sealed bucket ?

By my reconing a sack would last me about 5 months

As long as it is kept dry it will easily last that long. I don't know how long exactly but I would think it should last a year.

I tried Paul a couple of weeks back but unfortunatly he was out of most of the hops I was after (think he was waiting for this years harvest to come into stock)

He was cheaper on every item so I will definatly be using him for future orders.

Muntons give their crushed pale malt a shelf life of 12 months. Ideal storage temp is below 15c.
