Adding Belgian caravienne to Beer Engine

Hi,

The addition of hops to Beer Engine is fairly straight forward but I have had to obtain some Belgian Caravienne for a brew and cannot find too much info on the grain itself even though I managed to obtain some from Hop and Grape.
The EBC was on the packet so that's the easy variable to add but I cannot find anything on the other variables that I require within Beer Engine, can anyone help with these terms?

For this brew I decided to use the defaults of Caramalt which were already input into Beer Engine because from the Brupacks website on grains they seem to be similar type of grain. However from a point of learning I would be interested on where you may get this kind of information on grains and also what changes these figures give to the final wort? The fermentability seem the most obvious one in that I presume it means we can extract more sugar out of the grain and therefore the final OG of the wort will increase slightly but the moisture and extract I'm not so sure on.

Anyone fancy giving me a small lesson on grain?

Thanks Garth, Someone is always quick to help in these matters.

The sight tube is almost completed by the way. Just waiting for my Polycarb tube and I'm in action the Stainless steel elbows, nipples and locknuts are good as are the JG brass 1/2" to 10mm Push in Pneumatic Fitting. Now to work out how to mark off the Litre marks on the tube.

glad you've got the sight tube sorted, they are a great addition to your boiler/HLT

I have seen several ways of marking the litres off on the tube,

if the tube is thick enough you could score round the tube with a pipe cutter

or mark it with permanent marker

or use some of those black transfers similar to the ones when making pcb's

or cut thin strips of black electricians tape and stick them on
