Has anyone else tried this substitue and what other things can you fined in your range of breakfast cerials that can be thrown into a mash?
Can I ask, "what kind if brew you are making from it?". I'm just curious, as I find this a fasinating(spelt wrong i guess) pass time with loads of differnt takes on making the golden nectar! Also I might give it a go next timeCapper20 wrote:Thrown a load of Sainsbury's porridge oats in my last brew, had a bottle the other day prior to its cold storage and it was lovely. Not sure the oats stood out at all though, time will tell.
I ended up using it in a light ale I brewed, currently in the shed staying cool. I had a bottle of it before it went out there and I loved it. It lasted about 30 seconds. It was as if I was dying of thirst! I used 52g of oats so in the grand scheme of things it was not much, but they were there. Can I ask, "what kind if brew you are making from it?"
I'm guessing that it may be carb'd up enough to try one tonigh,....I tried one only a week in and it was flat as a keff! but that was me being impatcient and storing them to cold for secondry F to take place. My Cornflake beer looks and smell like its going to be a winner, that will be bottled and kegged so I can sample some early but also if I screw up with the 2ndry F I can always force carbon it in the kegg!Capper20 wrote:When will you crack your first batch open?
