Anyone have any idea what the LDK would be for Flaked Rye?
Similar to Flaked Oats?

Ah, I figured the acronym but it didn't help! Thanks.
Was thinking 50% lager, with the rest a mix of flaked rye, wheat, oats. Then bobek and saaz.

What's LDK stand for? Everything I have is in ppg...leedsbrew wrote:ppg (points per gallon) x 8.3454 = LDK

Sounds v. interesting - flaked rye is cheap as chips (as is flaked wheat) in hippy/vegan shops. You may need to use some rice hulls or oat husks though as flaked rye is VERY gummy - or use a cereal mash...leedsbrew wrote:Like the thinking with the multi grain wit! got a recipe done yet?
Mixed grain wit should be v. interesting: flaked/porridge oats and flaked rye and flaked wheat or wheat flour maybe?

Is LDK 'Litre Degrees per Kilogram' ? (Gravity * Volume = Litres Degrees) Its something we use at work while transferring from the Copper to the Fermenter for working out various parts of the transfer, Hop sparge, Liquor Back volume etc
