Whiskey malt?

Post by scuppeteer » Sat May 14, 2011 5:40 pm

Hi all,

I've just bought 1/2kg and was wondering if anyone has used it before.

Was thinking of doing an IPA style but not sure how much of the whiskey malt to add. I'm sure I've had a whiskey IPA but damned if can remember when or who made it.

I would be looking for an OG around 1060-1070, shall i chuck it all in or is it a bit more flavoursome like amber can be?

Cheers

Can't be arsed to keep changing this bit, so, drinking some beer and wanting to brew many more!

Sir, you are drunk! Yes madam, and you are ugly, but in the morning I shall be sober! - WSC

Use with caution, it's strong stuff. I once bunged in 500g to a stout grist to see what it's like and the beer was awful.
