Pale Malt Shelf Life

Themaltmiller inspires the sort of rabid support that other companies can only dream of. And with good reason

I'mma have to try the crisp malt. with base malt being so important to a beer people tend to be more conservative in their choice. I have to say I'll be ordering some instead of Fawcett's for a try.

Care to opine on their speciality malts? Have you tried them?

I order 25kg if I'm needing additional hops or specialist grains as well from Rob at themaltmiller or 30kg if just pale malt alone and I reckon I get 3 months with no signs of any problems. As mentioned above, keep the bag rolled up tightly and in a bin if there's a possible rodent issue.

Longer than 3 months I can't comment on yet as I am getting through malt fairly quickly at the minute.

The Malt Miller deserves lots of praise, superb quality but on top of that it's the service that is second to none. I'm over in France, my last order went in at 09:30 and I had a confirmation of despatch within an hour or two! Grains arrived within 48 hours and for just over a tenner! No-one else comes close to that turn around and shipping cost for up to 30kg.

I too am happy to vouch for Rob, The Malt Miller. He's one of the most helpful people I've ever had online dealings with. I'm about half way through my 1st sack of Crisp pale malt from him and will definately be ordering more once I'm nearly out of stock. It's cracking stuff and my extraction is up a good 5-10 points using it
