Hey Everyone
I'm guessing I won't get a reply for this question, but what the heck, I'll give it a go anyways.
I'm looking for the closest homebrew supplier to Slovenia. Does anyone know of one around here?? Italy? Croatia? Austria?? Germany?
cheers

Re: looking for a homebrew shop
I'm afraid I can't help with that directly . . . but if you are REALLY struggling, you may be able to order from some UK home brew shops. This will cost a little more in postage, and probably product too as I expect the UK is one of the more expensive places to buy things.

Re: looking for a homebrew shop
I just had a little Google for "Hobbybrau in Oesterreich" meaning home-brewing in Austria.
These guys have some items of hardware - look under Produkte and then Zubehoer fuer den Brauprozess. I think they may be a manufacturer rather than a shop though.
Another site (a business listing) gave this company:
Alfred Gruber GmbH & Co KG
Nordstrasse 6
5310 Eugendorf
Österreich
but judging by their website it's all automated!
Here is a German homebrewers' association, and from their Links page I got the Austrian association which has pages in both English and German. From there I got Armin's Beer Pages which has a few suppliers including Claudia Ehlebracht which is unfortunately in Bremen, Germany.
(Some minutes later) I just found the suppliers list for Austria on Netbeer.org.
10 minutes of surfing has failed to convince me that the Austrians do much home brewing....the only online shop I've found is Holzeis in Vienna. They may be your best bet.
Have you looked at Brouwland in Belgium?

Wow, the official Austrian homebrew suppliers page is excellent. Thanks for passing the info along.

Italy: http://www.mr-malt.it/
germany: http://www.candirect.de/Englisch/index.html
These may also help to refine your searches too. mr malt in italy seem to be very comprehensive.
It may be worth looking at the Muntons distributor list www.muntons.com, to see who else is out there and point your searches in some other directions.

Hey Guys
Just wanted to let you know, that I ended up making a short and easy half-hour drive to Udine to get all I need for my first brew from the Mr.Malt shop there.
Thanks for referring me to their site.
