Golden Promise

I'm brewing now with it. There must be a pretty big difference between regular Golden Promise and the floor malted variety. The stuff I bought, which is floor malted says it's 3L. Done some research and another place sells it, but it's 1.1L. That's a pretty big difference in color. I'm wondering if Timothy Taylor just use the floor malted variety and boil the shit out of it for caramelization? It's really not nearly as pale as I thought it would be.

Where'd you get your GP, Whorst? I got mine from Northern Brewer, but didn't notice whether it's floormalted or not. The last time I brewed TTL I also got it from NB, and it came out quite light, so I imagine this is not the one you have.

I buy virtually everything for Williams. I can't believe how rich the floor malted stuff is. It's got quite an aroma right out of the bag. It was also $2.35 a lb. We'll see how it goes. I've got about another 40 minutes left.
