malt substitute??

i have bought a GEORDIE MILD home brew kit today and i was wondering...for a more malty flavour and more easilly available,can i use 2-3 heaped tea spoons of horlicks??sorry about the daft question but this is my first brew kit.

Sadly not! Unless you want milk powder, hydrogenated fats and wheat flour in your beer (you don't!)

Try adding a pack of muntons spraymalt extract.

cheers mate...i think the only thing im going to add is treacle,beerkit enhancer and youngs beer finings.

infact..ive decided as its my first brew im going to keep it simple and leave out the treacle untill my 2nd brew so im going to start it tomorrow...fingers crossed!! haha
