I've always been using Simpsons MO and have recently changed to Munton's MO as a new supplier supplies it alot cheaper. To my surprise, I prefer the Munton's more than Simpsons as it has a more pronounce malt profile. It's really nutty and very british, almost nearing a mild ale malt maybe. I was always under the impression that Simpson was one of the more premiums ones but I dont think I will be using it anymore. I'm using Munton's MO, caramalt, crystal 40 and just ordered some chocolate malt.
But Munton's will start blending their MO with other malts due to a haze issue, so the next order for me onwards will be a blend.

I use the Muntons at work and I'm quite happy with it. Except when the bloody stickers come off the sacks and I have to guess which malt it is!We've had the MO blend for some time and slightly embarrassingly I haven't noticed any difference in flavour. The blend is 70% MO / 30% Tipple.
