I'd like to try a few clone recipes, and quite a few use American 2-row. Which of the following (Thomas Fawcett) malts comes closest in flavour?
- MO
- GP
- Halcyon
- Optic
- Pearl
I know the US pale malt is blander and UK malts are 'better' (I usually just use MO for my own recipes), but I'd like to come as close to the original as possible using these clone recipes. I limited my question to these specific malts due to availability.
My own guess would be Halcyon, but I've never actually used it myself. Thoughts?

Don't know the answer but would lager malt also be an alternative?

Perhaps, that's why I guessed Halcyon. I've never used it, but that's a lager malt, right?
I'm hoping for some more suggestions

Mysterio's SNPA clone uses lager malt and is a good alternative

Depending on the recipe the base malt may not make much difference. You'd be hard pressed to identify the base grain in a HOPPY pale ale or IPA.
I'm just here for the beer.
