Chocolate Malt addition to make Hefeweisen

Post by TonySan » Thu Aug 09, 2012 12:14 pm

Is this a good idea. I'm about to do the Coopers hefeweisen kit recipe and I'd like to turn it into a Dunkel.

I've almost convinced myself that this won't turn out well, but just thought I 'd see if I could get some opinions before I give up.
Fermenting: Nowt
Conditioning: Black Cross Stout
Drinking: GW London Porter, 'Use it Up' Bitter

I'd use a bit of chocolate and some crystal 60 or 80 malt.
I'm just here for the beer.
