Can anyone tell me whats this for and how to use it Ive a 500g pack(white powder) :?

From my understanding it's malto dextrine, a type of sugar that is mostly unfermentable. It adds sweetness or mouthfeel to the finished beer.

I'd prefer to mash at a higher temperature or use a less attenuative yeast for sweetness.
