Perl vs MO?
Perl vs MO?
I get my 25kg sacks of malt for a VERY reasonable rate from a brewery but it means I only get what they use as a base malt (usually extra pale but currently perl). Question is, what's the difference between MO and Perl?

I have found that Perl is slightly less "biscuity" than Marris Otter is. Then again, given the choice, I purchase Golden Promise

Bugger all. Unless you use flavourless hops, the difference is negligible. For the record, I use Flagon. Having tried all the options, I settled on the cheapest.
I buy from The Malt Miller

And you better not brew any stout, porter or any other flavour heavy beer.Beer O'Clock wrote:Bugger all. Unless you use flavourless hops, the difference is negligible. For the record, I use Flagon. Having tried all the options, I settled on the cheapest.

I didn't notice much difference (flavour wise) between MO, Belgian made pale of Sebastian variety and Carlsberg. Now that Carlsberg is cheapest...
