Belgian pale
Belgian pale
First attempt with Belgian pale malt. Impressed. Has that malt insets you get in a Munich helles. Brewed a standard blonde 5kg Belgian pale 200g carapils all late citra to give 69ibu not that it tastes that bitter and 150g citra at 80c Used So4 the maltiness comes through and interestingly the hop aroma is low and the flavour zesty but astere. Next time I'll use T58

Re: Belgian pale
Sounds really tasty. I should get some more Belgian malts.
Re: Belgian pale
I brewed this one without a belgian yeast and masses of citra and the malt comes through. I shal brew a more restrained blonde next to really taste the effect of the malt, but I'm thinging it could be vey good in pale/blonde english bitters
