Vienna
Re: Odp: Vienna
Good for Oktoberfest, bock, other lagers. Once brewed dubbel with Vienna as base, was good. Completely failed in hefeweizen. Now I prefer mix of pilsner and Munich, it's more versatile.

Re: Vienna
Hi, thanks for the info, i figured it would be good in these sort of beers, what if I use it as a substitute for MO in english styles?
no palate, no patience.
Drinking - of course

I don't know, I don't use MO, it's too expensive here. Flavour wise it's not far from continental pale malts.
Re: Vienna
I've just ordered some Weyermann Vienna Malt from the Malt Miller, planning to make this Vienna Lager viewtopic.php?f=5&t=64296
Not sure about using it a base malt for anything other than lagers, but I'm sure others can advise!

Re: Odp: Vienna
I use it mixed with pilsner in golden/pale ales, but not as base malt.

Pretentiousness does. Have you ever listened to early Genesis? First experience of experiencing glacial time passing for me. In fairness to Ultravox at the time this was so cooooool. Genesis were never cool.far9410 wrote:It went on a bit!

You're quite apologies to Far for hijacking his thread. I will now have a look for it, unless you want to point me in the right direction.Clibit wrote:orlando wrote:Pretentiousness does.
