Differences in volume/weight of glucose & sugar.

Just thought this might be of interest to folks.

Just measured then weighed the following several times, then took the average. Measured with a proper measuring spoon and weighed with decent digital scales. Been meaning to do this for a few weeks now, I'd assumed they'd be the same. Maybe someone else can have a go weighing either of these sugars and see if they get the same results.

Glucose powder
40 x level teaspoons = 81.5g

Granulated sugar
40 x level teaspoons = 132g

I've no idea if it's the weight or volume which is the sweetness equivalent.

If it was only 10g or so different I wouldn't have bothered bringing this up, but over 50g is worth mentioning I feel.

That's coz my measurements reflect a difference in volume to weight value, rather than weight to sweetness value. ;)
