Damn! I never thought of using polenta, I even have some in the food cupboard. Corn needs to be cooked in some way before you can use it. Flaked maize is already processed so can go straight in the mash. corn in the form of "grits" has to be cooked before you can mash it, I suppose polenta would come under the latter, any idea anyone?Jocky wrote:Polenta is ground corn (aka flaked maize). So if you only need a bit a local supermarket will probably stock it, or if you look in the international food aisles you might find Natco or Dunnes River Falls ground cornmeal.

Cornflakes and flaked maize aren't really the same thing. Also you need to decide whether the additives in cornflakes bother you.Fil wrote:there is a rumour mr kellogs sells corn flakes
