When repackaging mine from Charles Farms i found it hard to get good thick bags. There it a lot of wooden stems in there 5 kg packs. It's impossible to pick them all out & some burst through your bags. Anyone got a source for cheap thick bags suitable for vacuum packing. Cheers

Makro also do the thick freezer bags plain with no zippy, I reckon they're cheaper.

As DaaB says they are quite tough, better than anything in the supermarkets, and should be good for vac packing.
