Well not acorns ... Hops actually. I was in Horsham at the weekend and went to my favourite shop which is up a side street (the name escapes me) and sells beer from the keg. He normally has a selection of up to ten beers on keg which you can taste and then take home with you in any quantity you like.
While he was filling up my four pint container I noticed an advert for small hop plants.
I couldn't resist, so I have bought a young prima donna plant which to you and I is 'First Gold' hops EU 1440. This was a bargain at only Ã‚Â£2.50 so lets see how I get on with it. I will be chuffed if I can put some of my own hops into my brews in the future.

Well done Andy that's the one for the life of me I couldnt remember the name of it. My wife thinks I am just being nice and keeping her company...I of course tell her thats right........ it has of course nothing to do with me visiting this shop!
