Celia vs Bobek

How do they compare and can they be substituted for each other equally?

I find Bobek a little harsher... on the gooseberry side of citrus. Celeia is more floral... lemon zesty.

I often combine them in late hop additions as they provide complementary flavours/aromas.

But, yes, they are similar enough to make a reasonable substitution.

Thanks rubbery, I'm thinking of using a little Magnum to bitter cleanly, then go large on late and post boil with celiea.

Sounds nice... a refreshing summer ale!

I am brewing something similar tomorrow... Centennial to bitter then loads of Wai-iti post boil and dry ...lemon and lime Pale Ale!

That sounds awesome! Haven't used either of those hops before, maybe I need to experiment..

celeia is the best hop to make a summer elderflower ale with imo! it really compliments the elderflower without overpowering it
