Dry hopping conversion rates

Hi all,

I am planning to brew the Goose Island recipe in Mitch Steeles IPA book. I think I have the kettle hopping sorted, but the dry hopping rate is expressed in pounds/bbl. Anyone know the conversion to grams per litre??? I’ve had a trawl around the internet but cant find a definitive answer... :?:

One US barrel = 117 litres.
One UK barrel = 163 litres.

As this is a US brewery let's go with 117 litres.
1 pound = 453 grams
1 pound per barrel would convert to 453 grams per 117 litres, or 3.87g/l

So multiply your pounds/bbl by 3.87 and you'll get the number of grams per litre.
