List of dwarf hop varieties?
I don't know much about dwarf hop varieties (sometimes also called hedge varieties?)
Of course, I know the most popular one is First Gold (same thing sold as Prima Donna at garden centers, for some reason.)
Summit is another popular one, though it's technically only "semi-dwarf."
I've also heard of Hilary and Herald being used in the UK in the past, but it sounds like they may no longer be grown at all.
Surely there are more varieties. Can anyone list more? Any info about their brewing properties?
Cheers,
-Seymour

They are also known as Hedgerow Hops so googling that might be more fruitful.
Murphy's list a few, many on a theme of girls names:

I've used Boadicea and Susan in the past but I had no idea they were dwarf. Neither of them stood out particularly but they both made nice beer.

I wouldn't be surprised if Endeavour is too.

Can't be arsed to keep changing this bit, so, drinking some beer and wanting to brew many more!
Sir, you are drunk! Yes madam, and you are ugly, but in the morning I shall be sober! - WSC

You're doing better than Peter Cyster then! http://www.britishhops.org.uk/sussex-hop/
It won a prize this year in the dwarf hop category.

Re: List of dwarf hop varieties?
Bumping this thread from 2013! Here is a list of English dwarf hops.
Pioneer
Herald
Pilot
Sovereign
Minstrel
Beata
Endeavour
Boadicea
Archer
First Gold
Sussex is not a dwarf. Herald seems to largely be out of production but I know of at least one grower who harvested some last year.
Does anyone have a list of dwarf hops (I think Jenny and Ruth were two of them) that were briefly around over 10 years ago?

First Gold/Primadonna is the only one you're likely to see as rhizomes.
Across the pond the ADHA has developed several :
Azacca
Jarrylo
Pekko
Summit

I believe the American ones can be grown as taller plants too. Every time I see ADHA I think of ADHD!
