Thanks Chug, I've read it again and there is some useful info that I missed first time around in the comments section.

I guess if I wait a few more weeks the maybe I'm more likely to be able to get a cutting with three rather than two pairs of leaves.

I was wondering whether anyone could tell from these photos whether my hop plant has a disease, or whether they are suffering from being over / under watered. They started of looking really healthy and I have been watering them but the growth seems to have slowed down and the lower leaves are looking pretty brown.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The pot looks a tad small, there are quite a few bines on too.

I think you might be right as I know the roots can grow pretty aggressively. I put them in the pot last year and I think at the time this was the largest pot in could find. I'll have to try and find a larger one now the garden centres are open again!

Try B & M if you have one local. Got a couple of 55 ltr ones for about £4.50 each.

Something like this https://www.bmstores.co.uk/products/bla ... 0cm-291242

Think the 50cm works out at 70ltrs.

Thanks for the suggestion and we have a B&M not too far away from us. I've just checked and unfortunately my existing pot is 50cm in diameter so I think I might need to look further afield if I'm going to be able to find a larger pot!
