I think for my first brew, i'd like to replicate Badger's First Gold. Probably one of the nicest pints i've ever tasted.

A few of us here on the forum bought and grew some first gold hops last year. None of us yielded much of a harvest, but that is not unusual in the first year. I certainly have high hopes of a fair decent yield this year

My hop plant is starting to gear into action for 2007 - a couple of little buds have appeared 8)

A few years ago they pulled out all the NZ grown Fuggels , they then decided that was a mistake and replanted them but now have to wait 5 years before the bines will yeald comercial quantities.

This year I'm giving one of the plants to my gardening-obsessed-mum, so I should at least get some hops. I'm also thinking of transferring the other two plants to the largest containers I can find (I have to grow them in pots as I have a backyard :( )
