Least Favourite Hop?
Re: Least Favourite Hop?
I'm a big fan of all those Challengers in Coniston Bluebird, so when I was in Coniston last I went to the Black Bull and had some. And excellent it was too.
I also tried the XB, which is apparently basically the same as Bluebird but with some extra late Mount Hood hops.
Hmmm. That had me stumped.
I really couldn't see the point of ruining a great beer by adding something that tasted like weak orange squash that's been sloshing around in a mostly-empty plastic bottle in a hot rucksac all day.
It seemed popular with the locals, though. Each to their own, I suppose.

Right on. Ever since Sierra Nevada pale ale got popular everyone thinks you need to use them and by the truckload.BarnsleyBrewer wrote:I made a brew with 100% Cascade, can't stand the smell of them now...

SWMBO told me not to use it anymore.
I'm just here for the beer.

It's an anachronistic acronym.Skittlebrau wrote:Me neither.pdtnc wrote:something like that but i'm not a fan of the SWMBO acronym.
