Group hop buy?

Anyone fancy some EKG, Magnum or Ahtanum?
(please dont be put off by the fact the Ahtanum is 2013, its been stored properly at the hop merchant so i'm told its fresh, the only reason its 2013 is that the 2014 was all contracted out!)

Would be great if anyone wanted to add a bit to their order. I'm going to have quite big residuals left over so great if anyone wants to take a bit more.

Thanks for everyones support on this, hopefully will be able to get stuff in the post late next week depending on when the hops arrive with me. Will post pics when they do!

Hops arriving Monday!! I will be packing monday an hope to get in the post Tues/Wed once people pay, but will post updates here.

Very interesting chat with the hop merchant, says the availability has massively reduced this week, lots of breweries now starting to panic and place orders. I asked what the situation would be like in January when the 2015 hops come available, he said "it will probably be a bit of a gold rush with people scrabbling to grab anything that isnt contracted out"

Massively reduced US hop yields (lowest since 2006) vs Increased demand from the craft beer industry in the USA and UK.....perfect storm.

Enough bad news, the good news! I've managed to secure some more Summit hops!! whoohoo, he told me it was virtually the last bale. He also told me Cascade should be available year round next year so no need to panic on that.

So what do I have left? (per 500g bag)
Summit 13-15 USA 2014 £14 - This is a great big IPA hop. He told me there wont be any around next year.
Ahtanum 5-8 USA 2013 £17 - Please dont be put off its 2013, he again confirmed it makes little difference due to how they are stored.
East Kent Goldings 5-8 UK 2014 £14
Magnum 11-15 GER 2015 £12

Massive thanks again to everyone for supporting this , frustrates me that some on other pages want to be haters, trust me i'm not doing this as a business enterprise, its really not worth it....

Will post hop pics on monday night and start firing out payment requests over the wknd to people.

I agree with your last comment phatboy. One might be able to buy one of the varieties for cheaper elsewhere - well they should go and do that or better still, get off their arses and organise a group buy like you...! I bought a load of hops last year from simply hops when it was super cheap. Took ages and quite a cost to bag up all the hops to send out when we swapped it. Never again! (That was leaf though...!).
Debating on whether to get some ahtanum too.....

I've packaged half the hops up, as you can see below. Sadly though slight error on my part, I had ordered some extra vacuum bags last week online but hadn't checked out and paid for them, when I chased today I realised my error, they should arrive thurs/Friday at which point I can continue.

Sorry for the delay!! I will go ahead and post out to those who only ordered Summit and Cascade though.

Really sorry all still waiting on the vacpack bags! They were due to arrive on thurs, i'm hoping they come today in the post. If so i'm packaging up tonight and should be able to post tomorrow! Labels printed ready to go just need more bloody bags! Bought the bags direct from the supplier as I thought it would be quickest, they said 48hour delivery.....6 days ago....

Brew a couple of days ago with the Cascade and Chinook. Amazing smell even from frozen! +1!

All vac packed, packaged up and ready to post! Took me 3.5 hours, plus 2 the other night but the work is done.

The variation in smell was amazing! Cascade summit and magnum my favs!

Will drop at parcel shop tomorrow morn, usually takes 3ish days

20 parcels dropped off. I think the guy thought I was a drug dealer! Most are packaged in the big silver bags the hops came in so should smell great when you open them!!

I've had reports of 3 parcels already reaching their destination today. Feel free PM me or to post here once you get them.

I had a couple of emails from myhermes saying some parcels were overweight and would not be delivered, however one of the emails was for a parcel that has already been delivered!!?? They should all be inweight but if there are any issues I will sort them out, will be tracking parcels online.
