........when you're looking at two unlabelled bags of loose green hops

Hogs Back didn't label them, and the bloke wasn't sure which was which when I asked him.........oh god!

CSI type investigation needed?

I have no other hops as reference. I think Fuggles are a bit more floral/grassy, plus the flowers are supposed to be longer as opposed to rounder. Ordinarily I wouldn't mind, and probably would mix the batches for the classic Fuggle/Golding mix but the Mild Recipe I'm working to calls for fuggles.

Yeast? Yep, a plastic bag with a generous ammount of slurry, now in the fridge. Hops have been compressed in their bags and tightly wrapped in clingfilm, and are residing in the freezer. Got 3KG pale malt as well. I assuaged my guilt by getting another 6kg from Danny & Di.

The brew on Friday might be a big one :) Going to see if I can double mash/sparge 3 Gals of Mild at 1070 (historical mild, not wishy washy modern mild) and 5 gals of House Pale Ale at 1045. If I bottle out, I'll just do 5 Gals of the Mild, and have some malt left over for the next brew.

Don't fuggles tend to have more seeds than other hops (i think i read that somewhere :-k , probably wrong though).
