Suggestions on storing hops

Im about to harvest some of our hops. Whats the best way to keep them so they dont go off. Can they be frozen?

Once dried, keep them in an air tight and (preferably) opaque bag and stick them in the freezer. They'll keep for months (at least).

Photocopier and laser printer toner bags are suitable. You can compress them using a hop compressor - a cardboard cylinder from a bottle of whisky with the bottle used as a ram. You don't have to drink the whisky first.

Very sorry! Last time i checked the above linked thread i only saw batmans thread, Daabs wasnt there for some reason! How odd!

Thanks for the suggestion. Got them in my airing cupboard to dry!

A whole carrier bag full and thats only 1/6 of them my dad says!
