Brambling x
Has this hop fallen out of favour? Just dont see many recipes with it featuring as a hop. Is there a substitute. I noticed the malt miller had swapped willamette for it in the twisted stout. So any tips ?
Thanks in advance

Any chance of a recipe Please ? II've been thinking of simple bitters with challenger as a bittering and then either brambling x on its own or a mix of either goldings East kent or summat similar for aroma

If you happen to have the Home Brew Beer book, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Home-Brew-Beer- ... +brew+beer
the recipe for Cornish Tin Miner's Ale is a good one featuring Bramling X
Cheers

Re: Brambling x
I used it as a single hop brew with pale malt and chocolate malt. Nice beer, a little lacking in bitterness and aroma but that was down to my hop usage.

There is no substitute! One of the finest and prettiest hops out there. I've used it in all sorts of styles from Pales to porters. Got a couple of recipes if you like.

Can't be arsed to keep changing this bit, so, drinking some beer and wanting to brew many more!

Yes please sir I wouldn't mind seeing those
Re: Brambling x
I recently did a simple pale malt recipe for 4% single hop Bramling X light ale. My visiting beer critic i.e. brother in law, thought it was the best beer I had done, described it as tasting like fruits of the forest. I know that sounds weird but it's well worth giving this hop a go.
