Planted 5 hop varieties...help me choose the 6th

Post by 5am » Sun Jan 17, 2016 11:49 pm

I've just planted 5 hop rysommes (sp?) in my mums garden:
Cascade, Chinook, Kent Goldings, Fuggles & Saaz.

Since the half barreled I used came in pairs I have one spare plot...
Any suggestions as to what I should grow?

My favourite hops are Amarillo Simcoe, Citra but I've been told you can't get them ( without a plane ticket to the U.S., flash light, trowel and the risk of a criminal record)

I'd probably get something to go with the Saaz - ive got the same hops as you, minus the saaz - I made a bitter with the goldings and fuggle, and an IPA with the cascade and chinook.
I've never made a lager but I've made a wheat beer with hallertauer hersbrucker - I think that could be paired with the Saaz.

Sterlings, which were bred partly from saaz. You get a similar hop but with a lot higher AA%. I have them and goldings growing in my backyard.
I'm just here for the beer.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I haven't seen sterling hops for sale but something to go with the saaz is a good idea.
I have also made a wheat beer with hallertauer before so that would be a good option.
