Called at Sainsbury's last night looking for some veg, they don't have paper bags anymore to put your loose veg in. They have handy sized net bags instead, ideal hop bags 30p.
Dave.

I got some from lidl, sainsbos and tesco.
The lidl ones were legitimately hidden, really hard to find for some reason. They were near the veg aisle though. i'm sure I saw aldi had some as well but I allready have enough now

Thanks, will keep eyes open.
Re: Ideal Hop bags
Until reading this thread I was totally oblivious to these bags.
Just what I’ve been looking for and perfect for throwing in the fermenter - full of hops. 30p - don’t mind paying that.

My wife picked me up a couple from Sainsburys earlier this week. Was planning to dry hop with leaf hops in the FV but not essy getting the hops I want so do you think pellets would be ok in these? Pellets are more readily available at the mo.
I can't chill other than putting the PB in the garage so trying to keep things as clear as I can before racking to PB.

Re: Ideal Hop bags
Pellets will be fine in the FV. But no need to use a hop bag. The pellets will just break up and leach out of the bag.
You might get a bit of hop haze in the finished beer from the pellets, but that's no problem. It's yeast haze you want to avoid. Which is easily done by leaving the beer somewhere cool before drinking it. The yeast will (eventually!) drop out.
