Picked up a woodeford werry kit at wilkinsons today, but in my haste I added boiling water to the dry yeast already in a cup. Nothing happened to it and I went back to Wilkinsons and managed to pick up a sachet of yeast that came out of a Tom Caxton beer kit.

I hydrated it and although it didn't foam as much as I was expecting something happened so I poped it into the wort.

Question is will the yeast work and will my beer still taste OK?!

I went back to Wilkinsons and managed to pick up a sachet of yeast that came out of a Tom Caxton beer kit.
I just bought a Tom Caxton kit from Wilkinsons which had no yeast with it. Now I know why.

:D They had just bunged a load in with the wine yeast and I asked if I could buy one. I did think when I typed it that it might have sounded like I nicked it :oops:
